Invention is The Mother of All Necessity
Qube Networks' innovative "Converged VoIP Architecture" began life as the "Collapsed Backbone" technique, prevalent over 10 years ago when the 'many-to-many' traffic-pattern caused highly congested inter-floor corporate LAN backbones. This problem was easily solved by 'collapsing the backbone' into high-speed Ethernet switches in the data centre, with servers on one side, and users on the other, effectively guaranteeing that the users could always gain access to the resources they needed, whenever they needed it.
We have taken a further evolutionary leap, and applied this "Collapsed Backbone" approach to the Wide Area Network, and in doing so, discovered a plethora of unexpected business benefits and cost savings, that were never part of our original brief.
By simply locating all of the mission-critical technology within a secure environment, right next to the commodity resources that infrastructure requires, we have found that the infrastructure becomes more reliable, scales more easily, costs a lot less to manage and maintain, costs much less to build than previous designs, is very quick to deploy, and makes it much easier to support users at remote locations.
Now that the core infrastructure and company data is located in the same data centre, Business Continuity solutions become apparent; they exist as a natural consequence of good design and quality engineering - not as an expensive afterthought. "We believe it's better to put fences at the top of cliffs, rather than ambulances at the bottom."
If remote working or mobile workforce challenges are high on your business agenda, Qube Networks' Converged VoIP Architecture means your staff will all be working on the same data, regardless of where they might be physically located. Collaborative working becomes practical, home workers can contribute just as effectively as if they were in the office (perhaps more effective in many cases) and will still feel that they are part of your organization.
If cost efficiencies are high on your agenda, you can derive significant savings by deploying a single IP based network to transport all of your organization's information, instead of having 2 or more separate networks.
These are just some of the reported benefits of our Converged VoIP Architecture. Why not contact Qube Networks, and find out if this approach will work for your own organization - perhaps you can even add some unexpected benefits of your own!
